Marit Eikemo (40) er forfatter og leder for Litteratursymposiet i Odda, som arrangeres hvert år i oktober. Sin litterære debut fikk hun i 2006 med den kritikerroste romanen Mellom oss sagt.
Etter essaysamlingen Samtidsruinar (2008), som samme år ble kåret til “Årets nynorskbok”, og enda en roman i 2009, har hun klart å etablere seg som en svært synlig samtidsforfatter. Hun har nå tredje roman, Frå munn til munn (2011), på trappene – utgivelsesdato er satt til oktober 2011.
Eikemo har tidligere jobbet som journalist og redaktør for tidsskriftet Syn og Segn og informasjonssjef for Festspillene i Bergen.

Marit Eikemo (40) is a writer and the director of the Literature Symposium in Odda, held annually in October. She got her literary debut in 2006 with the critically acclaimed novel ‘Mellom oss sagt’.
After the essay collection ‘Samtidsruinar’ (2008), and yet another novel in 2009, she has established herself as a highly visible contemporary author. She is now finishing her third novel, ‘Frå munn til munn’ (2011) – release date is set for October 2011.
Eikemo previously worked as a journalist and editor of the journal Syn og Segn and as Information Manager for Bergen International Festival.
